Camille a rejoint l’EIGSI La
Rochelle en 2015 après une Terminale S au lycée Polyvalent de Taravao en
Polynésie Française. Il est né et a grandi à Tahiti avant de quitter sa famille
et de poursuivre ses études en France.
Passionné de sport et
particulièrement de course à pied, Camille y trouve matière à s’évader entre
deux cours. Course à pied et études se complètent. En effet, le sport est pour
lui un élément de réussite et de sérénité qui pèse dans la réussite de ses
études d’ingénieurs :
« En arrivant en Métropole, j’ai dû trouver un moyen de me ressourcer sportivement. Pratiquant la course à pied modérément depuis quelques années, j’ai décidé de m’y consacrer un peu plus sérieusement. Ca a tout de suite été une révélation. J’ai même pu constater que mes résultats scolaires étaient liés à mes performances sportives. Une séance de « fractionné » en course à pied effaçait la fatigue d’une longue journée de cours et me permettait de me ressourcer. Un footing entre deux révisions en session de partiels me permettait d’être beaucoup plus performant et concentré à mon retour. »
Cependant, la course à pied
est un sport chronophage. Dans des périodes intensives d’entraînement, avant
certaines compétitions, Camille n’hésite pas à faire plus de 20 heures d’entraînement par semaine. Et ça paye. En mars
2019, il arrive 14ème au classement général, 11ème senior
à l’Ecotrail de Paris, 47km entre Versailles et la Tour Eiffel.
En tant que passionné de course à pied, membre actif de l’association de running de l’EIGSI, Camille vous propose 5 conseils basés sur son expérience personnelle et aussi sur ses erreurs :
« La course à pied c’est le reflet de la vie, beaucoup de choses que vous appliquerez à votre pratique de la course fonctionnent aussi dans la vie de tous les jours ! »
Être régulier
La régularité fait partie intégrante de toutes les activités sportives. Dans n’importe quel sport, la régularité permet de s’épanouir et d’apprécier le moment présent. En course à pied, c’est le travail qui paye et il n’y pas beaucoup de place au talent ou au matériel pour performer.
Un socle de 2 à 3 entraînements par semaine permet de se construire une bonne base physique et cardiaque nécessaire pour profiter pleinement des sorties running. On peut aussi se fixer des objectifs.
Être régulier permet également de limiter le risque de blessure. La régularité va aussi avec la diversité. Il y a des centaines d’entraînements consultables en ligne ou dans des livres spécialisés : du footing au fractionné en passant par la séance de côtes ou encore celle de fartlek. Bref, il y en a pour tous les goûts et assez pour briser la monotonie du footing classique. Tous les types d’entraînements sont complémentaires et il est important d’associer du travail de qualité (fractionné) au travail de quantité (footing).
Être raisonnable
Il est parfois difficile d’être raisonnable dans la vie alors quand le sport s’en mêle. Il ne faut pas brûler les étapes et respecter la loi de la progressivité. La course à pied est un sport très accessible et il est facile de vite s’emporter.
Certaines personnes n’ayant jamais vraiment couru vont se lancer dans un long footing et reviennent dégoûtées voire blessées. Il faut pour cela respecter deux règles qui me semblent obligatoires. La première est la règle des 10% : tu pourras augmenter ton kilométrage hebdomadaire de 10% mais pas plus. La deuxième est la règle de l’étalage : il vaut mieux courir 4 fois 5 kilomètres dans une semaine que 2 fois 10 kilomètres.
Être raisonnable veut aussi dire de savoir s’écouter. Inutile d’aller courir si vous êtes fatigué, si vous avez des courbatures ou si vous avez tout simplement la flemme.
Le but est de profiter pleinement de son activité physique, de s’épanouir dans sa vie sportive et surtout de ne pas se blesser, de ne pas se dégoûter du sport ou encore de ne pas se laisser endoctriner dans sa pratique.
Se fixer des objectifs
Se fixer des objectifs est un facteur clé dans son épanouissement et pour maximiser son plaisir.
Que ce soit pour vouloir finir un 5 kilomètres, un marathon, faire une performance, perdre du poids ou être en meilleure santé, l’idée de départ est la même: sortir de sa zone de confort et se donner les moyens d’atteindre un but.
Que les objectifs soient réalistes ou non (dans la limite du possible quand même), vous les atteindrez quand même car le travail paye toujours en course à pied. Dès que l’objectif est fixé, rien ne vous arrête, vous êtes runstoppable!!
Être sérieux sans se prendre au sérieux
Peu importe l’objectif que
vous vous êtes fixé, il faut à présent tout mettre en œuvre pour l’atteindre.
Si votre objectif est centré sur le partage ou la santé, il est bien plus motivant ou encourageant de s’entourer d’un ou plusieurs ami(e)s. C’est le fait d’être engagé ici qui est important. De même, si c’est pour un objectif lié à une course, il est important de s’inscrire le plus tôt possible car après, il est impossible de faire machine arrière.
Un plan d’entraînement peut être une bonne aide. Accroché sur votre réfrigérateur ou sur votre mur, il vous sera plus facile de vous motiver. Ainsi, vous pourrez prendre du plaisir sans vous poser des questions. Il suffira de suivre le plan. De nombreux plans d’entraînements sont disponibles gratuitement en ligne pour tous niveaux et pour tous les objectifs.
Etre sérieux, ça veut aussi dire avoir de la rigueur et de la motivation. Tous les éléments de la vie sont à prendre en compte. Inutile de vous rappeler qu’un Kebab avant un entraînement n’est pas très judicieux. De même, dormir 3 heures et aller s’entraîner le lendemain est peu recommandé.
Prendre Plaisir
C’est mon conseil le plus important : prendre du plaisir !
On peut voir la course à pied
comme un sport solitaire mais la magie de ce sport est qu’il est très
fédérateur.
Essayez et vous allez voir :
une séance bavardage et rigolade en courant avec ses amis passe cinq fois plus
vite qu’une même séance tout seul. Par ailleurs, la course à pied est plaisante
et enrichissante par ses rencontres. Lors de sorties running organisées ou non,
lors de compétitions ou de déplacements, les rencontres sont diverses et
multiples. Personnellement, la course à pied m’a permis de rencontrer des gens
formidables, des personnes qui sont devenus mes meilleurs amis, et j’ai même
trouvé des stages et agrandi mon réseau professionnel avec la course à pied.
Il s’agit aussi de prendre
plaisir dans la vie sans que la course à pied empiète sur votre vie privée. Il
faut trouver l’équilibre qui vous convient le mieux.
Pour ma part la course à pied
est source de bonheur et de plaisir au quotidien. C’est en prenant du plaisir
qu’on réussit.
