Energy and Environment specialisations – Transport or Construction Applications

The objective of the two specialisations Energy and Environment Transport Applications or Construction Applications is to train engineers able to

> design, integrate and run systems for the exploitation, conversion and storage of various forms of energy,

> assess the energy and environmental efficiency of complex systems, especially in the areas of buildings and transport, and recommend solutions for improvement,

> optimize all business activities related to the production, distribution and consumption of energy and improve the performance of new energy sources, keeping in mind user expectations and environmental issues.

Project : project manager for energy systems, energy efficent project manager
Design and Research : design engineer or researcher responsible for designing energysystems or innovative sustainable mobility projects

Opportunities in industry

Engineering students who chose "Energy & Environment specialisation" can find work in France and abroad in all sectors related to energy, either directly in the production, storage and distribution of different forms of energy, including renewable energy; or indirectly in construction (HVAC) or transport (transportation systems). These engineers can also work in sectors related to the environment (studies, exploitation, standardisation, accreditation).

Skills Acquired

Mastery of technical, financial and environmental analysis tools in variousfields of energy.
Ability to perform energy efficiency assessments to recommend solutions for improving the transformation and storage of different types of energy.
Ability to implement alternative solutions in industry, constructionand transport.
Provide a global vision by analysing the potential use context and quantifying the environmental, energy, financial and societal impacts.
