MONC team: Modelling in ONCology
One of LERPA’s research professors, Damien Voyer, is an external Staff member in the MONC team at INRIA Bordeaux, within the Bordeaux Institute of Mathematics (IMB).
This team works on mathematical modelling for medicine, particularly in the oncology sphere. More specifically, this involves developing new mathematical models – combined with new techniques for data assimilation, image processing, intelligence (artificial) and statistical methods – in a bid to design numerical tools based on available quantitative data about cancer.
EIGSI’s contribution concerns modelling of the electromagnetic fields present in human tissue exposed to a field.
